SAE's Shot in the Dark, Philanthropy Event (10/26/2011)

Alcohol Awareness week ended Friday with the greek-sponsored "Shot in the Dark" event. The Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Alpha Tau Omega fraternities teamed up to host the event. The event consisted of a Water Pong tournament along with other team-based games, including prizes and raffles for winners and attendees. Some of the prizes included a gift card to The Cheesecake Factory, a gift card to GNC, and the top prizes- two Ipod Nanos. There was also a Root Beer keg and alcohol-free Jello shots for the participants. SAE's event had 100 participants and raised over $400 dollars. The event was a great success and showed students that they do not need alcohol to have a good time. The chapter had 2 teams make it to the semifinals. Sigma Alpha Epsilon would like to thank Gamma and Daniel Gittins for all the work they put into the events this week, and especially brother Kyle Ursic for months of planning and preparation to make it possible.

15th Year Chapter Anniversary, Alumni Event (10/25/2011)

The Members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Celebrated their 15th year anniversary on Duquesne's campus this homecoming weekend, October 1st. The event was a great success and gave active members the opportunity to meet alumni. There were even members from the charter of the fraternity. So far this year the alumni have donated over $1,500 dollars to the local chapter, and future donations look promising. We would like to thank all of the Alumni for attending the event and for their generous donations.
